Description
================================================================
My goal for this map was to build it as much as I could like a classic id level in composition, texturing, and performance. I just missed the 1.4mb size limit of the original levels, sadly.

Two weeks for the build itself in August '17, with gradual tweaking between September and November. November was spent working on a second version of the level using tyrutils-ericw. This version includes a .lit for colored lighting, while the original, basic build using only stock compilers is included as strange_basiclight.

Both sources are included in JMF format. A nightmare run of the level with all secrets found (I remembered to set the NetQuake protocol this time!) is also included.

This map was a lot of learning and a lot of experimenting, but I'm really proud of it. I'm also really eager to be done with it already and work on something else. If you're interested in seeing some early screenshots and stuff from development, there's some on my blog:
